Bad habits...

"Bad habits are like
a comfortable bed,
easy to get into
and hard to get out of"
Old Habits Don't Die. They Hibernate.
by Dr. Stephen Kraus, Success Scientist
Sometimes famous quotes convey great wisdom. Sometimes they're just wrong. This one's wrong: “Old habits die hard.”
New research suggests that old habits don’t die at all – at best, they hibernate.
We’ve all experienced this first-hand. You seemingly kick a bad habit like smoking, drinking, or overeating. Months or even years go by. The old habit seems safely behind you, and you can resist those things that tempted you so irresistibly in the past.
But something happens, and after one little slip, quickly fall back in to your old habit. It seems to “slip on” like a comfy pair of jeans, and you find yourself humming the Aerosmith tune “Back in the Saddle Again.” (OK, maybe that last one only happens to me).
