Ancient Hawaiian Healing

Is this snake oil, or could this heal the world?

Lately, there has been a lot written on the internet about the ancient Hawaiian healing technique know as Ho'oponopono. I have no idea whether it is valid, but I do like that word....Ho'oponopono!

It is described as a very simple way to heal yourself of negativity and the best part is you can Ho'oponopono others. Mental illness and crappy feelings and thoughts can be cured quickly and easily it is claimed. It is claimed to be a self cleansing technique that works for you and the others in your life. I have found no scientific studies to back the amazing claims.

Here is your 'coles notes' version of how this works. Let's imagine that someone you know is experiencing negative thoughts, like being really mad at you. You use these simple steps and voila....you are both healed! I could not find any timeline for the healing process but I assume it is fairly quick.

Just feel the negative thought or image and repeat the following in order:

"I'm sorry
Please forgive me
Thank you
I love you"

That's it! Can't get much simplier than that?

So for the next week, I'm going to be Ho'oponoponoing everyone I meet who I think has any negativity going on in their life. If I see someone who looks to be frustrated, mad, hurt, jealous, sad or disppointed....they are going to get Ho'oponoponed by Eduardo. And I expect to Ho'oponopono myself on occasion. (I don't plan to let people know what I'm doing...they might not understand)

I feel better just thinking about it, actually I just like saying...Ho'oponopono!

Eduardo

P.S. If you need some Ho'oponoponoing and you have no one, just send me an email and I'll gladly Ho'oponopono you over the internet!

I just found the Ho Oponopono stuff myself through my copywriting sources. I've seen much disillusionment in the world with all the churches at each others throats, and politics causing problems-- all the mental mess in the world, and I have to say, from what I see, Christ would LOVE this stuff. How much more beautiful can you get?? No judgment, no criticism, no blaming, no complaining, absolutely NOTHING negative in it at all and you don't even have to SPEAK to the other person involved. It focuses your thoughts on LOVE-- and related actions of forgivness, compassion and the great wonder of GRATITUDE!! I'm an ordained minister and in the church world, as in the secular world, there are problems upon problems, and seemingly very few solutions and the few available ones takes a life-time of study to comprehend and use. How much better off would we ALL be if we did these simple four steps to solve problems?? How can ANYONE argue with "I'm sorry, please forgive me, thank you, I love you?" Anyone that sees anything wrong with that is WARPED!! Of course, that means I have to go do the process on myself because I just made a judgment call! wonderful!! If only everyone would focus on solving THEIR OWN problems instead of the worlds'-- we'd ALL be so much better off. Oh yes, by the way, I tried it and it works beautifully-- or SOMETHING did, and I choose to believe it did. I was having a terrible week arguing with my best friend and everything I did was wrong-- but I did the process ONCE the other evening, and she has been as sweet as honey ever since. We have not had one altercation since. I tried it for a work related incident, and now that is solved as though it never happened. I'm sticking with it, and I thank God for it. All things are HIS creation for us anyway. The beautiful part is, it doesn't matter if you're christian, aetheist, genius, or what, it is a LOVING and beautiful process, and if it does nothing else, it changes the frame of mind of the person doing it. (who knows, maybe THAT is the key) Also, the law of attraction states that what we think about and focus on is what we attract more of, so why not attract more love and forgivness?? Well, that's my take on it, for what it's worth, but if you give it a try-- I think you'll be remarkably surprised!! Aloha.

beautifully said Chappy! Better written than my article, thanks. I'll be writing more about this, as I've also been practicing it faithfully for the past 2 weeks.

There is a neat video of Ho Oponopono on YOU TUBE too-- check it out. The one on "FREE HUGS" is nice too.
I've been doing the process for about 3 weeks now, and have successively lost a pound a day since with NO changes in diet or exercise habits, and I've had many situations that could easily have resulted in bad arguements suddenly just vaporize! I love it.
I'm not sure if I am suppose to mention it or not, but there is a book that is EXCELLENT on the subject and I'll gladly refer it to anyone interested. (no it's NOT mine and I don't make anything on it if you get it-- I just found it myself)

ZERO LIMITS by Dr. Joe Vitale, and one called "The EASIEST WAY" by Mabel Katz. Both have very long titles, but this is the first part of each and they're on Amazon. I ordered one by Victoria Shook, but it looks like you need a double doctorate and a huge dictionary to begin reading it. Personally, I like SIMPLE-- so go with Joe's book.
