Just when I was starting to think I was pretty smart...

"every once in awhile I get these great flashes of insight, only to later discover that insight and stupidity can look the same"
See the card above, I made that one up yesterday and thought to myself...'that's quite clever'.
My thinking was that if we looked for the fun and the humorous in everything, we might actually find it. I was very pleased with myself and set out to test my premise. All day long I was looking for the fun. When I met with clients I was in such a good mood, since I had put myself in the right frame of mind by looking for humor and fun. This was working really well until...
After work I headed to the lake, again to find the fun. Then disaster struck! I accidently knocked my brand spanking new expensive cell phone into the drink. As it gently floated away out of my reach, I thought to myself...'there's no damn fun in me right now'
This lake is the place where I go to find 'my happy place'.
And so far it has claimed 2 (yes I said 2) digital cameras and my new fancy cell phone from me! GRRRRR!
So I know what you wise guys are saying.....Eduardo, remember your line about...that's good because.....
well amigos, that's good because......I'll get back to you on that one.
On second thought, that's good because...it gave me something to blog about!
Smile, it looks really good on you!
Eduardo

Better that your cell phone sunk then your boat! Or better your cell phone than one of your friends!!
Always a silver lining....

You are absolutely one crazy and obviously clumsy guy and enjoy spending money on new gadgets. Your wife must just shake her head and laugh at you.. or should I say with you.
there are no doubt, a lot of people who shake their heads at me (but I'm OK with that)
Hey, the best benefit of all is the time it takes you to go get another one, IT"S QUIET!! Sometimes I think we'd all be better off WITHOUT all that 24 access bunk. Enjoy the time with no contact-- and allow your "inner self" a chance to see what it's like..
Here is an interesting thought. I had been telling friends that I was quite unhappy with the new phone. I found the keyboard awkward and frequently pushed in the wrong numbers. So do you suppose that on a subconsious level I might have sabotaged myself.....nah!
Yep--sounds right to me. I'd say the subconscious is hooked into a more knowledgeable source than our little two cylinder brains can handle-- that is part of the basis of the "HO" process too, you know. Think how well things ran when we had NO phones and stuff with us- we actually could enjoy the ride to an access point!
I'd say your're right on with that sabotage idea!! Something or somebody is telling you that you need some quiet time-- or there is somewhere else you need to be...
Good luck with the new technology though..
I dropped my cell phone today. I was coming up the steps with an arm load of groceries and the little holster had spun around upside down and there it went... bounce, bounce, bounce down the concrete stairs. First thing out of my mouth was "I'm so sorry, Please forgive me, thank you, I love you-- and I hope You 'Ain't broke'"-. I picked it up and it's as though nothing happened. Funny, I thought it was made by Motorola-- NOT Timex!!
I'm beginning to think that my little misadventure was meant to be a sign from somewhere that my head neaded a little deflating....mission accomplished!
