Notes from paradise

I like being alone, here by the ocean. I find it so incredibly peaceful and even healing. I think of moments like this as cleansing the soul. I don{t require any reminder to love the moment, I just can{t not love the moment. Surrounded by such an inspiring view and the sounds of a tropical nature, this is paradise.

Listening to the waves crashing into the beach and the chirpiing of birds....this is just like one of those meditation type CDs you can buy, only this is real.

I wonder what it would be like to live here year round. Would the samenesss of daily life, diminish the experience. That{s a strange thing about us humans, we just naturally move towards taking everything for granted, until it is taken away from us. We can{t sustain never ending joy, happiness or awe. But, I suppose we need the contrast in our lives, in order to find appreciation for the wonders that surround us.

Anyway, I don{t want to strain my brain thinking about this incredible experience. I just want to soak it up and cherish my good fortune. The best way to give thanks for times like this is to love the moment. I{m good at that!
