It's all good

Tomorrow I return home and thinking about that, I'm reminded of a phrase I heard a few years ago from one of my Mexican amigos;

"don't be sad that that your visit with us over, be happy that it happened"

As always, I find my Mexican hosts to be warm, inviting and playful. They love to sing, laugh and tease. Every little joke is to be enjoyed and shared a hundred times over. There is much we can learn from them.

Yesterday, one of the beach vendors stopped my stroll down the beach. He said, "Eduardo, it breaks my heart that you are leaving so soon". "Really", I said. "Se Eduardo, you still haven't bought anything from me" The two of us, laughed until he had seperated me from my pesos.

"everything is possible, if you can have fun doing it, including making the sale"

I'm thinking that even if I got nothing more that a grain of sand from that exchange, I got more than my moneys worth, just for the lesson in salesmanship. Its far easier to persude people, if they like you and we are both having fun.

That line was even better than the standard one, I've heard for years...."hey senor, today everthing is two for one....you pay for two, you get one" I've heard that one a thousand times and it still cracks me up (and there goes my pesos again)

"todas esta bien" (its all good)

Eduardo
