Getting clear about your intentions

Great, you've identified those things that you would like to do, if your life was humming along like it should. Now we just need to fine tune things a little. If you've worked your list down to a top 10, then just take it down to a list of 5. Take your time and make sure you are clear as to the order of importance.
Now write out your list in order on the card above and you are on your way to a happier life. I printed 3 of the cards for myself, which I keep in places where I will see it often: bathroom mirror, taped to computer and in my car. Whenever I notice the card I take a moment to daydream what it will feel like when I have achieved my intention.

Here's the important part! When I'm daydreaming about my intention, and I get an idea of something to do to reach my goal, I jot it down on the back of the card. As soon as I can, I take action on the idea. Some good daydreaming can lead to some really interesting ideas if you let it.

All of this is a nice idea but if your want to really reap the benefits, it needs to be done with the right attitude. You need the amazing power of your smile. This may sound a little goofy but, when you put a smile on your face, you open yourself up to intutition. Have you ever noticed that grumpy folks are never the ones with great ideas? They are great at critizing and finding fault but creative thoughts, not so much. People who change the world are the one's who are juiced up, excited and have a terrific attitude towards their intentions. So if you are going to change your world...it starts with a simple smile!
You are responsible for guarding access to your mind
This is the essence of what every self help book or blog is all about. Controlling what you allow to filter into your head. The purpose of these cards is to feed your mind more positive messages. Heaven knows that you get enought negative images and information from TV, radio, newspapers and that whiney co-worker. There are a million or so ways to get positive stuff crammed inside your skull. Self help books, inspirational movies, pictures of good times, uplifting friends...you get the idea.
Here is the real bonus
This worked for me, so I'm sure it will work for you. When you think daily about your top 5 intentions, before long you realize what your 'purpose of life' is. There isn't one person in a hundred that you could go up to and ask them, what is your purpose of life, that would have any kind of an answer. That's why there is little competition at the top. It is extremely liberating and exciting to suddenly realize that you actually have a purpose for being here on this planet. And with that gem, I'll leave you with these words...
