Now that my life is wonderful

Here's how to identify your passions in a fun and easy way
(but first a little story)

When I was a kid in school I would frequently bring home report cards with the same comments written by my teachers. "Eddie is a bright kid, who although he does all right in class, could do much better. He spends entirely too much time day dreaming". Neither my mother nor my teacher knew what to do with me. Little would I know that the thing that frustrated them the most about me, would turn out to be my biggest asset.

Lest you think, I was day-dreaming about becoming a millionaire or some future great endeavour, let me set you straight. I would day-dream about more important stuff, like riding my bike, fishing at the river (which was forbidden) or that shiny little girl that sat in the next aisle. I can picture her now...pretty as a new penny with her golden hair, ah, but I digress. My point, if I had one, was that my day-dreams were not the ones that led me become sensationally wealthy or make any great discovery that would help the world...just kid stuff.

Much later I've learned how to use my daydreams profitably!

Dang, just thinking back on that pretty little thing, who never knew I even existed, throws me off....where was I? Oh yeah, the power of daydreams. Through most of life, I've wondered what is my purpose? Where is the passion? I felt like I was treading water, just getting by.

Then on a holiday in Mexico while daydreaming on a beach I had my 'aha' moment. At that moment I was dreaming about how I would like my life to be and imagining how it felt to have and be everything my little old heart desired. That's when I conceived the idea for this blog and a whole heck of a lot of other stuff that I am now pursuing. And even more important, I realized the power of daydreams and more specifically how to use them to find your purpose and passions. Now for just 5 equal payments of $100 I will reveal my secrets to you (just kidding, I give everything away for free)

So here amigos is my fun, easy way to figure out your passions and purpose. See that card up above. All you have to do is imagine that your life is just the way you would like it and them fill in the blanks. Simple huh? Think of all the ways in which your life would be perfect. It's important that you really get into it when you are completing the list and no need to stop at 10, keep on going. I find the best way to do this is with a smile on my face. You have to feel good about it. If the dog just ate your homework, you are not in the right frame of mind to tackle this.

Next, you simply put your list in order of importance to you. As you go through each item just rate them on a scale of 1-10 as to it's importance. Soon it will be clear which one's hold the most value for you.

In the next article I'll show you how I put this list to work to manifest my wonderful life but first I'm going to return to my daydream about that shiny girl who got away!

Smile, it looks really good on you!

Eduardo

Best...advice..ever!

I know many people who stress out and shut down when asked what they would like to do. Some people only want to respond with "the answer most socially acceptable".

When you smile and focus on what YOU really want (and it doesn't always have to be a ginormous feat of human excellence) - you end up accomplishing what you put on your list!

Thanks for this great post and the always contant reminder to keep smiling!

thanks for noticing that Brian. Now that I think about it, I'm wondering if I've stressed the importance of getting in a good mood enough.

Certainly most people make poor decisions when they are feeling negative emotions like anger, envy or depression.

Thanks for stopping by and adding your valuable input.

Eduardo, you seem to get a lot of good energy from Mexico. I highly recommend you go back there in the very near future...vbg

se Yoda, it is a place of great importance to me. While I may appear to be doing nothing, but soak up the rays, I am actually opening myself up to inspiration. So I guess you could say that while you are playing, I on the other hand, am actually working away (in my head) to manifest new material for future writings.

I wonder if anyone would buy that line?

See you on the beach in 2 weeks amigo!
