You are the person you've been waiting for

"here's the good news....you can get to there from here"

I just had one of those world class thoughts that smack you upside the head. I was driving around and thinking about some of things in my life that I indend to do but haven't yet. It occurred to me that somewhere in the deep recesses of mind, I've been waiting for something to happen. Maybe a lucky break, a chance encounter or some mystical revelation that would spur me onto greatness. I consider my life pretty good but I'm acutely aware that there must be more. Then it occurred to me...

"I am the person, I have been waiting for"

My first thought was...'hey Universe, you could do better than that". Once I accepted that, nope, the universe wasn't going to be sending anyone else to do the job, I had some thinking to do. I figure that to do some things (like write a book)I needed to have a higher level of consciousness. Who is going to buy a book written by some dumb ass, right? So maybe, I needed to have all of my life experiences (good and bad) plus accumulate more knowledge, so that I can be at this place in my life. Ok, I'm now ready to..

"exceed my own expectations"

How hard could that be? A little more courage and a little less procrastination, should get the job done. So the wait is over, I'm here taking ownership of my life. Stand back kids, Eduardo is in charge around here from now on.

It is human nature to want someone else to give us the answers. We seek the short cut, the easy path. It's just that the path that seems the longest is actually the shortest. The wait to win the lotto might take more years than we have left. Truthtfully everything we need to know to get to where we want is already buried deep inside of us. Must be some kind of cosmic joke to hide the answer where we would never think to look.

Finally, the question begging to be answered is how do you access the answers we have buried within us? The answer is beautiful and kind of funny....QUIT THINKING! Another one of those cosmic jokes? Yes amigos, it is only when we stop thinking and find some silence and solitude that the solutions come bubbling up to the surface. It's like letting someone else do the work for us. I like that.

I don't know about you, however for me what works best to get into nature. I like to sit in my boat and let the big guy do the heavy work. Thinking is just too much strain on my little brain. So I just enjoy the water and wait for inspiration.

Smile, and let someone else do the work!

Eduardo

BONUS; "He surrounded himself with people who were much smarter than himself. This was easily accomplished since most everyone had the qualifications"

Well I'm pissed...I just lost about three paragraphs of some really good and smart stuff that I wrote in response to your wonderful post. It just disappeared into the cyber twilight zone. (I'm not really pissed, just...hmmm...maybe I am pissed) LOL I don't know what happened to it but I apparently hit the wrong button! Trust me it was good stuff! OK...I'm over it now. I just let my HP (higher power) do the heavy lifting in my life and most of the time it is all pretty easy and therefore fun. It's when I get the roles confused and think I can do HP's job that it gets kinda dicey. I try not to get into what I call recreational thinking much anymore. I'm all for fun and easy. Life doesn't have to be so hard.
