You don't have to smart to be rich
Phew, I'm feeling better after reading about the research that scientists just completed at Ohio State University!A great mind does not always make for a great fortune. The richest people in the world are apparently no smarter than you and me. In fact the very brightest are more likely to have financial problems.
"the easiest way to double your money
is to fold it in half"
However, being smart does lead to high income, just not 'Warren Buffet' type of money. So you can send the kids off to college, comfortable in the knowledge that they will have a great chance to be high income earners. However, they likely won't become filthy rich. (I wonder what jealous poor guy made up that phrase...filthy rich).
So I guess that leaves us with the question....what does lead to great wealth. The answer seems to be an unshakeable belief in one's ability, a clear goal and plan plus a totally positive attitude.
I wonder if the same thing would apply to happiness?
"always borrow money from a pessimist,
they don't expect to be paid back"
In conclusion, your IQ has really no relationship to your wealth. A little belief, goes a long way!

Here is what I think will probably happen with all the wealth I so richly deserve. Someday, long after I am gone, one of my future relatives will find my writings and publish them and get famously wealthy! Can you tell that I am a legend in my own mind?
Yes, I do think you are right about believing in ones self being the key to success. One of the first self-help books I ever read was titled, "As A Man Thinketh" and it was all about believing and therefore manifesting the belief.
Beliefs are deeply entrenched in a person, at the core of who we think we are. That is why it is so hard to un-learn things. When beliefs are challenged they tend to act up.
I wasn't raised to believe in myself. I have had to challenge my old beliefs and it has been a painful process but an essential one. My focus at this stage of my life is much more internal. My riches aren't immediatly visable but only become evident to the observer who sticks around long enough to beecome a friend.
Well that is enough psycho-babble from me for today. Sorry I strayed so far from your topic.
