What do you collect?

I have an incredible collection which is priceless!

If you have no hobby then I highly recommend collecting. It is rewarding to see your collection grow in quanity and quality. And of course who knows how valuable it will one day be.

Collecting is something everyone can do. It doesn't have to cost you anything. Mine doesn't! My collection is left all over the place and free for the taking. And yet it is priceless to me.

I am a collector of ideas!

I started collecting quotes, thoughts and ideas some time ago. It started from my voracious reading habit. When something I read strikes me as enlightening, I write it down in my notebook. I found great usage for my collection. This blog is born from the quotes, thoughts and ideas I've collected.

A good quote is a summary of the ideas of the writer. Some writers take an entire book to share one idea that could be summed up in one great quote. Thinking about this I wrote in my book....

"you don't have to bore me, to convince me"

I also collect gems from things that my amigos say. Here are a couple of examples;

"good friends are hard to come by and even harder to get rid of" Eric aka Yoda

"to be kind all of the time, you have to shut up some of the time" JP aka Juan Pedro

"question authority"
Gracie aka Rita

Some come from sources unknown, such as;

"inside of every old person is a young person, wondering what the hell happened"

"even the mighty oak tree started out as a couple of nuts, who stood their guard"

"the guy who dies with the most toys, is still dead"

"if you help a friend in need, he is sure to remember you the next time he is in need"

"time wounds all heels"

"save water, drink beer"

"intelligence has its limitations, stupidity is infinite"

So there you have just a mere glimpse of my collection. I have notebooks full of gems of wisdom and humor. A good hobby like collecting can expand your mind and amuse your amigos.

Smile, we were born as originals so why become copies

I love your collection. Over the years I have collected different things but my favorite thing to collect is books. I like the way they look, the way they smell, actually, I like everything about books. They represent knowledge and truth to me. They are the best creation of humans when well written, and the worst of propaganda when used wrongly. My first job was in a library and my greatest dream is to see my name on the spine of a book on those shelves. We will see if that dream reaches fruition for I am still breathing in and out. Ed, God bless you my friend.

thanks Gracie. I also collect books but I've got too many so I'm starting to donate some to the library. Keeping the best ones of course.
I'll look forward to buying your book when it is ready. How is the article coming along?
