You win everytime you play

I invented a game where you my amigos win everytime!

How sweet is that? The prizes range from small and somewhat insignificant all the way up to full blown miracles. Best of all, my little game is fun and easy. So do you want to play?

Here's how to play

1. Print off the card you see above

2. Carry it with you for one week and put it where you will see it often

3. When you look at it, imagine that something good is going to happen but you don't know what it will be

4. Knowing that something good is going to happen, start looking everywhere for that something that it is coming your way

5. Be open to all possibilities, don't limit yourself in anyway. It may be one single thing or event or it may be one hundred things.

6. Keep a record of the good happenings for one week

7. Standby to be amazed

That's it, simple, fun and easy. I've been doing it for 3 days now and I've been blown away with how well it works. At the end of my one week game, I'll share some of my findings with you.

REMEMBER: In order for this to work, you must get yourself to feel that something good is happening. It's that feeling that produces the magic in this game. The more often you can create the feeling, the more frequent and the bigger the prizes.

Smile, you are another guaranteed winner!

This or something better

"maybe the reason we don't always achieve our intentions and goals is because they just aren't worthy of us"

I can't recall where I first heard the phrase, this or something better, but it has always stuck in my head. I love the idea that there might be something even better in store for me then what I originally desired.

So now whenever I decide to manifest something I think worthy into my life, I always add the thought....this or something better. I figure if the universe is limitless, then why should little Eduardo put limits on the big guy. I may not be willling to settle for less but I'm sure as heck willing to settle for more!

In the past year I've been witness to many good people manifesting incredible things in their lives, including myself. Frequently, we got more than what we intended. So the proof is out there,it works.

I can visualize it now, readers writing down....I intend to win the lottery...this or something more! And, who knows, maybe it will be something more. If so, remember your amigo Eduardo, who put you onto this.

Smile, it will make you richer!

Eduardo

P.S. See the picture of the car in the card above? Two years ago, my son informed me, that it was the car he wanted. He couldn't see how that would be possible, until he graduated from University and got a job. I made up the card for him and told him to visualize owning it. He got that car awhile back but now has one....even better!

The New and Improved Commandments

I read today that the Pope has issued a list of new deadly sins. Deadly sins sounds pretty ominuous, right? The original 7 deadly sins were issued by Pope Gregory in the 6th century. They were since rejected by theologians including Thomas Aquinas. I'll bet you never heard of this sin as drawn by the Pope Gregory.

"It is a sin to be sad"

I think they should have kept it! And I can't imagine why they dropped that one, it's beautiful.

All this got me to thinking about the 10 Commandments. As I was daydreaming, I thought to myself....what if I was God for a day, what commandments would I give? I wrote down my list and of course, whether you want it or not here are

THE NEW 10 (MORE) COMMANDMENTS....

1. Thou shalt accept what is and love it.

2. Thou shalt show kindness to everything and everyone.

3. Thou shalt give daily and with a happy heart.

4. Thou shalt dream big dreams and pursue them.

5. Thou shalt simplify.

6. Thou shalt believe in the potential of one's self and of others.

7. Thou shalt forgive as you would yourself would want to be forgiven.

8. Thou shalt remember that your body is a sacred gift and is to be loved.

9. Thou shalt seek solitude and silence in times when you need answers.

10. Thou shalt smile often and remember that my gift for you, is that life was meant to be fun, easy and over-flowing with abundance.

Not bad huh? Don't you think the world would be a much better place with my commandments. I'm not calling for the abolishment of the exisiting commandants, just a modern day update. Got a better one, let me know?

Smile, we live in an imperfect world and I am the perfect example!

Tatoo this to your forehead

I'll bet you would like to perform magic; for yourself and for others. No problem, I Eduardo am about to teach you some magical words and a technique, that will transform your life (if you will allow it).

I can't prevent you having problems or misfortune, I can however, make it incredibly easier to deal with life's downers. You know I want nothing more than for your and my life to be fun, easy and abundant. Now I have the technology (does that sound impressive?) Best of all, it is so incredibly simple, that you might think me a fool. No problem, I'm used to that.

So enough Eduardo, what are these magical words you speak of?

Patience grasshopper, first I must explain how to use the magic.

Whenever you have an unpleasant experience, simply repeat the magic words immediately. Then you should stop; thinking, reacting and feeling. You need only do this for a moment. Then the magic can do it's work. Ok, now that you understand the process, here are the magic words....

"it is, what it is"

Brilliant right? Or is it as clear as mud? Allow me to give an illustration of the process and how it worked for me.

Prior to departing on a recent vacation, I awoke and found that some idiot had spray pained the side of my little convertible with an obsenity. My first reation was to shout out....(insert appropriate profanity here). However, having recently discovered my new technology I chose a different response. I paused and then said to myself....oh well, it is what it is. For a moment I detached myself from my feelings and quit thinking.

Amazingly, I felt a little better. As the day went on, everytime the feeling would surface in my consciousness, I would repeat the magic words...it is what it is! By the end of the day, their was no anger left in me.

Hold onto your shorts friends, I'm not advocating that you do nothing when misfortune strikes. I needed to take the appropriate actions to remedy what I could. I just didn't need to carry around negative energy about it. Once, I accepted that, it is what it is, I could get on with finding a solution. Your thinking up a solution, is much easier if you are not encumbered with negative feelings and energy. Clarity is highly beneficial to productive thinking.

"I have everything I need"

Since I was leaving the next day, there was no time to have the car taken to a body shop. My brother (bless his little pea picking heart) offered to park the car in his garage and see if anything could be done. While I was laying on a beach in Mexico, he actually managed to remove the profanity. So no cost to Eduardo, no work on my part and I got to enjoy my holiday. Perfecto!

I believe it was Mark Twain who said something like...I have had a lot of troubles in my life, most of them never happened. So when a problem hits you smack in the head, repeat the magic words and give yourself a little time out. It will do you wonders. Try to remember what some wise guy said....

"worry is your imagination, working overtime to try and make things worse"

Smile, it makes people think you know what you are talking about!

Do you have a screw loose?

"if you haven't got a screw loose somewhere, you are probably wound too tight"

How is that for a motto to have? I made that up of course, but it gives you an insight to my weird world.

I like serious people, the world needs them for lots of important jobs. Reminds me of many years ago I was scheduled for a hernia surgery. While laying on the table and ready for the anthesiest to put me under, I heard the surgeon laughing and joking with the operating staff, about his golf game. I was greatly concerned that he wasn't focusing on the job at hand (me). So I said to him..."hey Doc, you are about to perform some delicate surgery on parts of my body that are incredibly near other parts of my body that I really love. I would appreciate it if you took this real serious." For some reason this put the operating staff into fits of laughter. Then the lights went out and I awoke hours later, and proud to say that everything was still where it was supposed to be. So I like serious people (sometimes).

However, the world doesn't need me on that team, so I joined the other side. A little over a year ago, I decided to adopt my belief that "life was meant to be fun, easy and abundant". So far it's working to perfection!

"there is always room for one more fool"

As they say....we are not going to get out of here alive anyway (so we may as well have some fun). I tell my friends, it's not my inner child I'm worried about losing contact with...it's my outer adult. This attitude is life changing.

Whenever I'm about do something, I try to remember to ask myself...is there a fun easy way? Usually there is. Let me give you an example; recently I needed to buy a vacuum cleaner and was thinking, how could this be fun and easy? Lo and behold I'm in Costco and I see a robot vacuum cleaner. Of course I bought it. That dang thing works beautifully, cost less than the one I thought about buying and entertains the dog to boot. I call it Angelina and she does the work at the press of the button. So now my floors and carpets are cleaner than ever. Brad Pitt and me, we love our Angelina. Perfect!

You probably get jokes sent to you over the internet as do I. I keep the really good ones and send them on to friends and delete the rest. A good joke is to be shared. What you look for, you find and I find the humour everywhere. I tease my friends, my clients and most everyone I come into contact with (especially if they are the serious side). And kids, my God I love to tease kids. Of course being a teaser means you are going to get it back in bucketfuls, but I'm ok with that.

Here's another of my mottos....."the more I smile the richer I become"

I've found incredible truth in that made up statement. My income tripled over the last year and I'm having a great time. Interestingly, I'm working no harder than I was before. You can't accomplish much in this world without the help of others. And people help people they like, so it's profitable to smile a lot. The more you smile (whether you feel like it or not) the better you feel. This of course attracts friendships as an added bonus.

"I haven't got and don't want any goals, dreams or intentions, so big that I can't have fun pursuing them"

One day my son said to me...it must be fun to live in your head Dad, but aren't you worried about losing track of reality? Nope, how can I lose track of reality when I made it up to start with? I actually think making up your own beliefs is the single most important thing you can do to change your life for the better.

Why live with beliefs like....life is hard and difficult? That serves no one. I don't like hard and difficult so I dumped that belief.

It all starts with your attitude. The world really needs one more goofball and I think you are likely candidate! The fact that you read this blog, cinches the deal for me.

Smile, life was meant to be fun, easy and over-flowing with abundance (but only for us goofballs)!

Spiritual Rules of Money

"money doesn't seem to like people who are desperate for it" Ernie Zelinski

Ernie has written several books telling us how to quit your job and live a comfortable rewarding life. Ernie, has done it, so who am I to argue his success. One interesting part I found in his book...Real Success without a Real Job was his little known, but 'Important Spiritual Rules of Money' I invite you to read this list over and see if it resonates for you as it did for me. I'm pleased he called them rules and not laws as so many pompous writers are fond of these days. Check this out...

Spiritual Rules of Money:

1. If money becomes your primary focus in life, then money is all that you will get.
2. Spending a lot of money can get you trapped into thinking you are prosperous and
having a lot of fun, when all you are doing is spending a lot of money.
3. The person with no money may be poor; however not as poor as the person who has
nothing but money (ouch)
4. Prosperity isn't a matter of acquiring how much money you desire; it's a matter of being happy with how much you presently have.
5. It is better to be out of money than out of new creative ideas on how to have money.
6. Above all, the value of money lies in the creative and spiritual uses to which it can be put and not in how many possessions it can buy.

That's good stuff and lot's to think about. One thing I've realized is that money is attracted most easily to those who have a purpose greater than themselves. It may be to build an empire or to give your family what you never had. Or maybe the idea of developing a product or service you strongly believe in.

"pursue those things that you love to do, and do it so well that the world can't help but notice...then money must flow to you, as surely as the river must flow to the ocean"

What happens when you one day realize that you have more than you will ever need? We see this in movie stars and athletes. Because they have no meaning in their life, money soon becomes insufficent. So they turn to self destructive behaviors. All they need to do to save themselves is find a meaning greater than themselves and their problems will be solved. It's just that easy.

"money is a blessing when you have a use for it that is greater than yourself"

Knowing right from wrong

If my mother were still with us, I'll bet she would be blown away to read this article! Her little Eddie was not exactly the poster child for doing the right thing. Trouble followed me around like a puppy looking for a treat.

Now that I'm an elightened being (ok that almost made me gag too) I have learned some really interesting stuff which I'd love to share. Since I have most of my mistakes safely behind me (no comments please), I have learned how to evaluate whether something is good or bad for me. Elementary you say, well yes but to me it's profound.

Here's how I know when something is right for me, my little test. If you get 3 yes's to the questions you pass:

1. Do I feel energized by it?
2. Do I feel good by it?
3. Do my actions produce positive results?

And it's wrong for me when:

1. I feel bad about it!

Now here's my challenge to you; try this simple test when you are making decision about something. See if it passes the test. Of course no one feels energized, happy to action oriented all of the time, so let's assume the answer is 'most of the time'.

I believe if I'd used this little test in my youth, Mother's little Eddie, wouldn't have screwed up so much. I would have known the actions and the people who were not good for me. I'm a slow learner, but I'm still under construction.....

Smile, we've survived most of our screw-ups!

The secrets to being likeable

Welcome back amigos! As promised, I would share a few novel ideas on becoming more likeable. I'll skip past the obvious stuff like.... take a regular shower, brush your teeth and don't be rude. I found 100's of examples of the obvious, but here at 'Happy School' we're into unique and of course easy.

What do you think is the fastest, easiest and surest guarantee that you will always be viewed as likeable? That's the question I've been pondering. That question had me stumped for a few days. But then in a moment of sudden insight, the answer was revealed. I almost wet my pants with excitement, it was that good. I Eduardo was now in possession of a life changing inspiration. The gods were on my side. Not only did I discover the secret of likeability but I had in my possession the secret to a fun, easy and abundant life. No point writing, reading and researching anymore....I had the answer! So what to do with it?

"for my amigos only, I will offer this one time opportunity. And for the incredible low, low price of just 4 equal payments of $29.95 (plus tax) it is all yours"

Whoa, got carried away there with the brillance of my discovery! After careful review and a return to sanity, I now will reveal all for the incredible price of FREE. I do have one caveat that I must insist on....as you read the secret, promise me you'll let it perculate in your brain for a few days. I'm confident if you do that you will come agree with me, it is brilliant. Here is the secret to likeability and to success....

"put others first and everthing becomes fun, easy and abundant"

Help others get what they want and they will be only to happy to help you get what you want. I guarantee that they will like you as well! The more you help others the more others will want you to succeed and be happy. Multiply your success, happiness and likeability by helping as many as you can. Consider it an honor to be in a position to help when you the opportunity presents itself. Call it Karma or cause and effect, the truth is, it works perfectly.

This is just another of those cosmic jokes. God has a terrific sense of humor. He puts everything right in front of us, makes it really obvious then sits back and laughs at our foolishness until we finally get it. This is just another one of his little tricks like....the more you give, the more you get. But hey, we're smarter than the average monkey and we figured it out!

All along my path, I figured it was all about me. I was focused on figuring out how to make me happy and successful. And dang if it doesn't turn out that I was wrong, it's not about me, it's about helping others. I help them get what they want and they help me get what I want. Simple...beautiful!

ADDED BONUS: Now, I'm just so damn likeable (might have to work on that humble thing next)

Smile, I am, therefore I am happy!

Friday's thought

How much fun are you having?

It occurred to me that maybe we are not having as much fun as we think we are.  Or maybe we are having more fun than we think.  Lest this question is keeping you up at nights, I am about to come to your rescue!

This is a very simple and fun little test that I've designed to measure your happiness quotient.  You know how these things work, right?  1 means never, 2 is hardly, 3 is neutral, 4 is most of the time and 5 is just about always. Ok, let the fun begin....

People smile when they see me?             1 2 3 4 5

I smile when I see strangers               1 2 3 4 5

I laugh (daily)                   1 2 3 4 5

I have fun at work                         1 2 3 4 5

I have fun at home                         1 2 3 4 5

I share funny emails                       1 2 3 4 5

I have celebrations for special events     1 2 3 4 5

I tell jokes 1 2 3 4 5

I do silly or goofy things 1 2 3 4 5

Others tell me jokes 1 2 3 4 5

I am optimistic 1 2 3 4 5

Ok, the test is over, add up your score. Here's how to rate your score;

40 or above: Congratulations you are either extremely happy or seriously deluded. Either way, good for you, you are invited to my parties.

30-40: You need to lighten up and have more fun. Sorry no invites to the party until you shape up.

30 or below: Amigo you have a bad case of terminal seriousness. Your life may not be a long one, but it will seem that way!

That's it class is over, I expect you all passed with flying colors. Don't forget when you come to the party to bring a really nice present for the host (me).

Eduardo

P.S. Those who know me personally may have reached the conclusion that I purposely slanted the questions so that I would score highly.... You didn't think I was going to take the chance of failing my own test did you?

The Fountain of Youth Discovered

"life was never meant to be hard and difficult"

Several years ago it was revealed that drinking red wine had the potential to help us live longer healthier lives. Reversatrol a natural compound found in red wine was thought to proctect the heart from aging. So a few glasses of wine a day had tremendous health benfits.....BEAUTIFUL!

Then has often happens someone disputed the claim and it was thought more extensive studies were needed. Just in the nick of time researchers from the University of Wisconsin-Madison have confirmed the benefits of reversatol. So we can now go back to enjoying our daily wine, right?

Not so fast bucko, some idiot decided to remove the reversatol from the wine and put it into a pill. Now tell me what enlightened soul would give up the added benefits of enjoying a glass or two for some dumb pill. I say to hell with the drug companies, I'll take mine the natural way. Everyone knows natural is better!

And do you know what I find most satisfying about all this research? The recommendation is 2 glasses for us guys and only 1 glass for the ladies....now isn't that perfect?

Smile, life is meant to be fun, easy and abundant!

Eduardo

Note; Life still isn't perfect for us guys....as the marriage counselor said to the husband...you can be happy or you can be right, you just can't be both!
